Comic Book Creator of Spawn & Co-Founder of Image Comics
Todd McFarlane is a Canadian–American comic book creator, entrepreneur, and artist whose work reshaped the comic book industry in the 1990s and beyond. He broke into fame with his work on Spider-Man at Marvel, where his dynamic, expressive style became instantly recognizable.
In 1992, McFarlane co‑founded Image Comics, giving creators greater control over their work, and launched his flagship title Spawn, which would become one of the longest‑running creator‑owned comics in history. Beyond comics, he built a media empire through McFarlane Toys, producing highly detailed action figures and collectibles, and expanded Spawn into animation, film, and video games.
