Amy Jo Johnson is a Canadian-American actress, filmmaker, singer, and comic book writer best known for her breakout role as Kimberly, the original Pink Ranger, in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. She later starred in popular TV series such as Felicity, The Division, and Flashpoint, establishing herself as a versatile performer across genres.
In recent years, Johnson has shifted her creative focus to writing and directing. Her feature films include The Space Between and Tammy’s Always Dying, the latter of which premiered at TIFF and starred Felicity Huffman. In 2024, she made her comic book debut as writer of Power Rangers: The Return, a miniseries from BOOM! Studios that revisits Kimberly Hart in a darker, future-set storyline co-written with Matt Hotson and illustrated by Nico Leon.
